Prayer Challenge- Day 11

Day 11

Name of God to proclaim and focus your worship to: El Emunah: אֱמוּנָה (pronounced E-Ma-Nah), (The Faithful God)

The Bible verse in which this name of God appears links the name to God’s covenant reliability. “Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God (El Emunah), keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.” Deuteronomy 7:9. Emunah has a root word which is a something familiar to us; the Greek word “Amen” We say it at the end of every prayer. Did you know that you were proclaiming God’s faithfulness when you said it? In Revelation 3:14 Amen is actually the name given to Jesus!

Amen in Hebrew is AMAN (pronounced AW-MAN) and means faith. Faith defined is: to build up or support; to be true; to be certain; to bring up. So, when God says He is faithful He is saying He builds up/support. He is true. He is certain. This is something to stop and praise God about.

In these days there may be a constant desire in us to want to give up, but God will always remind us of his faithfulness, everything he has done for us. In those moments we must get still enough to hear Him. If each one of us thought about his faithfulness, how faithful he has been all this time and how he will continue to be, I think the least we could do is keep fighting, keep trying, do not give up. I want to encourage you today that God has not forgotten you – He Is Faithful.

Scripture Promise to claim: Philippians 1:6, “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:”

Read the promise above; Remember God is faithful towards us not because we deserve it or have been so good. He is faithful because it is who He is and He loves us! Take some quiet minutes and ask Jesus to remind you of a time where He showed His complete faithfulness.

Listen and journal a prayer of response. Pray for those God puts on your heart that need to see God’s faithfulness today. Who need to be built up and supported, and, therefore, not give up.
