Prayer Challenge- Day 8

Day 8

Name of God to proclaim and focus your worship to: El Chaiyia (Hebrew: חַיִּים El-Ḥayyīa) (Living God or God of My Life)

One of the places this name is used is in Psalms 42:8 which says, “The Lord will command His loving-kindness in the daytime; and His song will be with me in the night, a prayer to the God of my life.” As El Chaiyia, the God of my life, he commands, literally commissions there to be loving-kindness in my day. Loving-kindness means “to bend or bow oneself,” “to incline oneself”; hence, “to be gracious or merciful.” This is who the Living God is. He bends down to extend grace and mercy and, according to scripture, He sings it over us. And that song gives us life. So I must respond one way; as Psalm 116:2 says “Because He bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath.”

Scripture Promise to claim: Psalm 42:8 says, “The Lord will command His loving-kindness in the daytime; and His song will be with me in the night, a prayer to the God of my life.”

Read the promise above; did you realize that the Living God is joyfully singing over your life right now. (Zephaniah 3:17). It is a song that brings loving-kindness over your circumstances. WOW. Be still before Him and let him put that song in your heart today that gives you the fullness of life you need to calm your fears and worries. Ask God what specific words He is singing over you today.

Listen and journal a prayer of response. Pray for those God puts on your heart who need to know that El Chaiyia, the living God, is present with them? That they would sense His loving kindness. Pray they will know that He is alive, dwelling and walking with them, singing over them today.

Song to worship with. https://youtu.be/Sc6SSHuZvQE
