Prayer Challenge- Day 19

Day 19

Name of God to proclaim and focus your worship to: Elohay Selichot; (ĕ·lō·hāy sel-ee-khaw’) (the God Who Is Ready to Forgive)

Nehemiah 9:17 says “…But You are God, ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, abundant in kindness…” Elohay is the personal pronoun of God (Elohim) meaning “My God” and Selichot is Hebrew for “forgiveness.” You and I can be slow to forgive, but there is forgiveness in the very nature of the Almighty. This personal God’s desire is to grant us His forgiveness. Remember that 1 John 1:9 says He is “faithful and just to forgive us”. All He requires, actually longs for, is our confession. In every way we’ve had the free will to fall into sin, sometimes accidentally, other times on purpose, yet He is always waiting on the edge of His seat to “cleanse us from all unrighteousness”. Today will you believe in being loved so much and so well because it’s real.

Scripture Promise to claim: Psalm 86:5 “For You, Lord, are good and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You.”

Read the promise above; is there anything you need to be forgiven for today? All you have to do is ask the Holy Spirit to reveal it to you. Then ask Elohay Selichot to forgive because it is who He is.

Listen and journal a prayer of response and rejoice in the fact He has completely forgiven you. Pray for those God puts on your heart that need to fully fall into the loving arms of Jesus to receive the forgiveness they so desperately need.
