Prayer Challenge- Day 20

Day 20
Name of God to proclaim and focus your worship to: Jehovah El Emeth; (eh’-meth) אמת – The God of Truth:

We find this name in Psalm 31:5 which says “Into Your hands I commit my spirit; You have redeemed me, O LORD, God of truth.” In John 14:7 Jesus says “I am the truth” Both of these verses point to the fact that truth is not a what, it’s a Who – uncontainable, undeniable, undefeated. Truth is absolute, something of great value, and always an attribute of our God. All truth must be defined in terms of God, whose nature is truth.

Our enemy on the other hand is defined as “the father of lies” (John 8:44). So we must ask ourselves each day, who am I believing? If it lines up with what God, whose name is Truth, says in Scripture it is truth and must be believed, if it does not we must denounce it as a lie and proclaim what Jehovah El Emeth says.

Scripture Promise to claim: John 8:32 “and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Read the promise above; thank Jehovah El Emeth that He has given Himself and His word as the source of perfect truth. Ask God to reveal to you any area where you are believing a lie that does not line up with what He says about you in His word.

Listen and journal a prayer of response. Pray for those God puts on your heart that have believed the lies that the enemy has told them. Pray they would find the truth in the Person of Jesus today and start believing what He says about them.
