Prayer Challenge- Day 24

Day 24

Name of God to proclaim and focus your worship to: Yahweh Shalom: Yä-wá’ shä-lom, “The Lord Is Peace”

Yahweh Shalom is one of three names for God that was given to an altar. It happened when the angel visited Gideon to recruit him as a new judge over Israel. Gideon then went on from there to find out that God was the only One able to give him “peace that passes all of our own understanding”. (Phil. 4:7) That is why Gideon built an altar to the Lord and called it, “The Lord is Peace.”

It is in your times of greatest darkness when you need to remember this Name. In the midst of all your circumstances He reminds you that He is true peace, so you never need to fear no matter what you’re facing.

Remember, Shalom is not an absence of noise or strife but the manifest presence of Yahweh in your circumstance. Let me just repeat what it says in 2 Thessalonians 3:16 “Now may the Lord of peace Himself continually grant you peace in every circumstance. The Lord be with you all!”

Scripture Promise to claim: Isaiah 26:3 “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!”

Read the promise above; Ask God to manifest Himself to you as Yahweh Shalom today. Ask Him to remind you of a time when He showed up in the midst of a crisis in your life and brought you peace.

Listen and journal a prayer of response. Pray for those God puts on your heart that need to feel the peace only Jesus brings to them with His presence.
