Day 7
Name of God to proclaim and focus your worship to: El Rachum –רַחוּם; (rakh-oom’) (Compassionate (merciful) God)

El Rachum means the Compassionate God. (A little reminder of the definition of compassion: to come alongside, to bear and suffer with). Deuteronomy 4:3; 1 Exodus 34:5-7. This name expresses how much God acts as a perfect Father. He is rich in compassion and mercy; He does not want to see His children fall. We can know that our prayers, and our tears, will never be wasted. The God of compassion hears them and is merciful so we may not be distressed. Let us, in turn, have ears to hear and eyes to see the world in compassion the way our Father does.
Scripture Promise to claim: Psalm 103:13-14 “As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.
Read the promise above; right now, just close your eyes and repeat those words. Allow them to fill your mind and swell your heart. Know the truth of El Rachum and carry that forward in this today. Ask God what that compassion looks like in your life.
Listen and journal a prayer of response. Pray for those God puts on your heart that need to truly understand the compassion of God that draw them to Him to find the forgiveness and love they need.
